ARTIST'S BACKGROUND

Geetha Holds a Master’s Degree in Textile Designing from Madras University in Chennai, India. She has had a long association with Art, and her innate artistic abilities were recognized from an early age, with awards and accolades. She has had international exposure and lived in many countries, prior to moving to Houston in 2006. Since then she has been an active member of the Sugarland Area Artists (SLAA) and the Sugarland Art Center and Gallery, where currently she has her studio. Geetha has won many prizes in Art Shows conducted by the SLAA and Lone Star Art Guild, Texas.

ARTIST'S  STATEMENT

Experimenting with colors and using varied materials and media is what motivates her most. She loves the creativity that accompanies her artistic abilities and enjoys exercising the freedom of expression that it allows. She thinks that there is a strong link between Art and Charitable causes and she tries to strengthen this connection from her side whenever possible.
